Gambardella and LaRocca Named Among Newsday’s Top 100 Football Players

Sachem High School North seniors Joey Gambardella and Luke LaRocca have been named to Newsday’s list of the Top 100 Long Island high school football players for the 2026 season.

Gambardella, a standout wide receiver and defensive back, has made an impact on both sides of the ball for the Arrows. He led Sachem North with 63 tackles last season.

LaRocca enters his third season as Sachem North’s starting quarterback. Over the past two years, he has passed for 2,540 yards and 23 touchdowns while accumulating more than 3,000 yards of total offense.

The recognition highlights the talent, leadership and dedication both student-athletes have displayed throughout their Sachem North careers.
